WINGS™

WINGS™ – Win Gaming System – is the solution for RNG games management for random, pseudo-random and Skill games (Class III, AWP, Skill/Stop Games, Redemption Market and Casinos).

WINGS™ central-based management system and its local gaming servers provide also a good solution for the interconnection of slots for central supervision and management. Downloadable games and jackpots are features derived from the centralized management.

WINGS™ System provides operators with total computerized control and management for any supported games, starting with the WINGS Control Center (WCC) all the way through to the WINGS Video Lottery Terminal (WVLT).

WINGS™ is part of the VLT Platform, and can be implemented as a standalone product or in conjunction with LYKOS™.

WINGS™ makes intensive use of Random Number Generators (RNG’s); depending on where the RNG is placed, WINGS can be configured to work in two different modalities: Central and Local. In Central mode, there is one RNG providing random numbers for the whole system at periodic intervals (depending on the Communication bandwidth available); while in Local mode there is one RNG on every terminal, serving its own requests, working at a faster pace (no communication limitations) than in Central mode.

WINGS™ offers several configuration alternatives to adapt to different customer requirements, allowing the deployment of different number of components with different connectivity needs.

Configuration Options

WINGS offers several configuration options to fulfill a wide range of customer requirements and reguations. The different configurations refer to the way VLTs are connected to the central system.

  • WINGS /AS: VLTS connected to the Control Center via Agency Terminals.
  • WINGS /DL: VLTs directly connected to the Control Center.
  • WINGS /L: VLT’s work in standalone mode.

WINGS /AS

Parlors or Agencies are equipped with a number of VLT’s and one Agency Terminal for administrative purposes and as a communication gateway to connect to the Control Center.
The Agency Terminal can also be used as a console to control VLT’s activities and as a focal support point for them, reprinting cash vouchers if a VLT printer is not working, for example.

WINGS /DL

VLT’s placed on agencies operate without any Agency Terminal. Every VLT communicates directly to the Control Center in the selected mode (Online or Batch). Agency Servers can be placed anywhere and be connected directly to the center.
This configuration can be easily migrated to WINGS /AS.

WINGS /L

VLT’s function in standalone mode (every VLT has its own Random Number Generator) and do not require any external intervention to operate.
Although operating in standalone mode, all VLT’s are equipped with an expansion device that allows connecting them to an external computer (for diagnostics and accounting purposes, for example).
This configuration can be easily migrated to WINGS /AS or /DL.

Operation Modalities

From the RNG location point of view WINGS™ can work in two different modes: Central and Local. The chosen modality determines how and where contents are generated and poses specific requirements on the Communications infrastructure.

Whatever modality the system is configured to run, the WVLT component does not change at all: if it has an external source for Random Numbers, it uses it; otherwise it uses its own source.

It is important to note that, irrespective of what is chosen location for the RNG (Central or Local), the Pay Cycle is always applied on a WVLT and game basis, meaning that the WVLT software will use its own heuristics to ensure that the pay cycle is properly completed at its due time.
